As a food reviewer of Hunan Cafe, I am thrilled to introduce you to the brand "小楼门钉 Hú Tòng Sizzling Meat Bun." Located at 550 Hwy-7 E, Richmond Hill, ON, this establishment offers a variety of delicious dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.
One of the highlights of 小楼门钉 Hú Tòng Sizzling Meat Bun is their Chef's Choice selection, including Pork Stew with flat bread, Doornail beef meat pie, Multilayers Meat Pancake (Pork), and more. These dishes showcase the rich flavors and authentic ingredients that Hunan cuisine is known for.
Personally, I was impressed by the Pork and cabbage Sizzling Bun and Chinese Chives, Egg, and Shrimp Sizzling Bun. The perfect combination of flavors and textures made these dishes a standout for me.
In addition to their Sizzling Meat Buns, 小楼门钉 Hú Tòng also offers a range of noodles, dim sum, cold dishes, porridge/soup, and classic dishes. Each dish is carefully crafted to perfection, ensuring a delightful dining experience.
Overall, 小楼门钉 Hú Tòng Sizzling Meat Bun is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Hunan cuisine. With a diverse menu and cozy atmosphere, this restaurant truly stands out in the culinary scene.
Place is small so it's pretty tight, especially when it's busy with people buying takeout as well. Food is great, loved the egg zucchini sizzling bun, the doornail beef meat pie, the multi layers meat pancakes, and the pork stew with flat bread. Pork stew has not just pork intestines and flat bread (which tasted a bit dense), it also has pork stomach, stewed fried tofu, and minced garlic which you stir into the stew. Delicious! Though like the other reviews said, there's no tip but the price is a tad expensive for the portion size. But still worth it, in my opinion.
We went there for lunch on a Thursday. There were 5 dine in customers at the time. This is our second attempt to eat at this diner, the first time was not successful since they were packed. There are very limited seatings and the strong northern wind adds chaotic on a windy day to this restaurant. Although they only have 20 seats/chairs, I still appreciate the arrangement, otherwise I will have to take out and eat it in my car. We placed our order by using the QR code on the table. We ordered the doornail beef meat pie, multilayers meat pancake and the traditional fried pork soya bean sauce noodles. Food came very quickly so I was skeptical that it will not be temperature hot enough. I was pleasantly surprised. The dough of the Doornail Beef Meat Pie is of perfect thickness. After the first bite, I found a substantial amount of grounded meat and a good amount of soup/juice filling. The Multilayers Beef Pancake was also a delight to eat. The meat was not dry or rough. I especially like the fact that it was not greasy. The noodle from the Traditional Fried Pork and Soya Bean Sauce has a slight chewy texture which I like. The fried pork was delicious. In my opinion, I wouldn't mind seeing a few more pieces. We helped ourselves to chili oil, fresh garlic, hot water, and utensils on the table in front of the cashier. The cashier was smiley, polite and soft spoken. Food was delivered to our table. Tipping is not required so in comparing their service with many restaurants out there, I give them a 5 star review. I can understand they will get overwhelmed when everybody flocked to this small restaurant at once during rush hour. We just have to learn to be kind, patience and understanding. Support our small local business. Plan your trip ahead for a hearty meal.
It was such a pleasant surprise to find authentic Beijing snacks in Toronto! My favorites were the zhajiangmian and lu zhu, and the donkey roll and Beijing-style wontons were also great. No tipping is required, so I will definitely come back.
A canteen I often go to! Northern Chinese flavor, traditional Beijing-style snacks, Mending meat pie, fried noodles, meat pie, porridge are all very good. No tips are accepted, but you need to pick up your own tableware, tea, and paper towels
Today I'm going to share with you a little doornail that you can try in Richmond hill and even though I got a taste of their food on the go I wanted to share this experience with you The doornail Patty is really a sight to behold! It's a little pricey, but it's huge, and every bite is full of gravy, super juicy! Although I am not from Beijing, I do not know what the taste of authentic doornail Patty should be, but this bite down, feeling the taste is very good, the skin is crispy, the filling is rich, and every bite is a feeling of happiness I am the point to take out, specially only ordered the doornail Patty to taste the fresh, feel the taste is also fine. The portion of each Patty is very sufficient, eat one already feel very full, especially for meat lovers. But the patties seem to be freshly made, so it's been a long wait. Next time, I plan to go to the store to try more dishes and experience other tastes of their home Although the store looks small, there are a lot of seats inside, and the decoration is also very distinctive, giving people a warm and comfortable feeling. The waiter was also warm, which was really sweet The small house door nail is really a place to share. Whether it is the delicious doornail Patty, or the atmosphere and service in the store, it feels OK. Next time, be sure to go to the store in person to punch in, try more food, and look forward to more surprises
Every dish was very good. Good price too. Few tables inside, so expect a wait during lunch hour
We visited 小楼门钉 Hu Tong Sizzling Meat Bun on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. There was no waiting time and had around 3 tables empty when we got there. You can scan the barcode on the table to order. It was first time visiting so we ordered the ones that people recommended on the Internet. We got Pork Stew with Flat Bread, Doornail Beef meat pie, Multilayers Meat Pancake(beef), Traditional Fried Pork and Soybean Sauce Noodles and Fried Starch Sausage. It was more than enough for two people and I highly recommend you eat the beef pie and the beef pancakes when they were hot. All foods were served within like 3mins we ordered and the rest are kinda like self-service where you can get the disposable plates, chopsticks, different sauces, garlics, spoons, bowls, water at the self serving station which I don't mind at all because they have the sign saying NO TIPS! There's even no tip option on the POS machine. Will definitely come back again!
Very nice little restaurant. They serve delicious pan fried beef or pork buns. The wrapper is not too thick, while the meat is super juicy and has plenty of soup inside. Food is served pretty quickly and everything else is self serve. At checkout, they have a sign that says no tips needed. Which is the complete opposite to the recent dreaded trend of mandatory tips. I definitely will visit again and have already recommended this place to friends.
